USS Ark Royal has been dispatched to Sector 262. Her primary mission: to fly the Federation flag in the region and counter the growing influence of the Klingon Empire.
Part of this mission is to investigate strange readings that came out of Klingon space, which may point to research and development of a new kind of weapon.

The crew of the Ark Royal has been asked to follow up on reports related to the transfer of a piece of advanced subspace technology to the Democratic Republic of Pydria. There are concerns that this technology might be misused in the production of the subspace weapons being developed and tested by the Klingons.

In order to counter these latest Klingon moves, the Federation has decided that it needs to improve relations with the nearby powers that exist between Federation and Klingon space. To that end, the Ark Royal has been dispatched to the planet Kannok, on the frontier of the Drenkul Republic, in order to broker some kind of defense and intelligence sharing partnership.

Ensign Larose and Chief Summers have reminded me that today is an Earth holiday called ‘Halloween’. I recall from past assignments that Halloween festivities usually brought crewmates together, improving morale and a sense of camaraderie. I have yet to understand the nuances of it, but the results speak for themselves. I have therefore requested that the two of them host a costume party in the Deck Seven Recreation Lounge.

This could not have come at a worse time, as the crew must resolve a major crisis with the bodies and emotional intelligences of people much younger, all the while trying to restore themselves to their proper ages.
